The future is stupid

Day 1:

I've never been too disciplined when it comes to making art or music. In the past, I've generally let my level of immediate enthusiasm about a project dictate my level of creative output. When I was given a computer of my own a few years ago, my time spent browsing the internet quickly inflated itself into absurdity, and my excitement about time-consuming visual and audio projects waned. Sure, I get stoked by all the great art I find online, but for some reason it doesn't motivate me to get off the computer and create something of my own.

I have to start doing some things differently. I recently unsubscribed from most of the blogs I was reading daily. Two weeks ago I started a new job working at the downtown library. I'm trying not to waste my time. It's really hard.

I thought I could get a painting out of the way today. Oh well. I at least have a plan of action for tomorrow. It looks like this:
